Our Story

In our AAHA-accredited facility at VCA Alpine Animal Hospital, we've helped pets of the south Anchorage community live long, healthy and happy lives for more than 25 years. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners.

Our veterinarians, technicians and other pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that all our patients get the best in prevention and healing care.

Welcome to VCA Alpine Animal Hospital, a full service practice offering all aspects of veterinary care, boarding and grooming. Our hospital has been caring for pets in the South Anchorage community for over 25 years and our doctors have over 25 years of education and and experience combined. In addition, our well trained support staff compliments our outstanding veterinarians.
 
Our team includes three veterinarians, five technicians, an amazing support staff, a groomer, and a complete client service team dedicated to the health and care of your pet. We also run a boarding facility for both dogs and cats. If you are looking for a family atmosphere in a vet clinic, Alpine is who you should trust! 
 
We are an AAHA accredited hospital that has a passion for natural and conventional pet healthcare. We believe that prevention is the best medicine and offer alternatives to pet owners for the best care of our patients.
 
Our goal at VCA Alpine Animal Hospital is to be the leader in preventative medicine in Anchorage, be dedicated to provide exemplary customer service, compassionate care for our patients and foster an environment of continual learning for pet owners and staff members alike. We now offer CareClub Wellness Plans for every stage of your pets life; they are affordable nose-to-tail care with easy monthly payments. We also carry pet supplies, premium and prescription pet foods, laser, grooming and boarding.

American Animal Hospital Association

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.
